What does this workflow do?

Node 1: Pipedrive Trigger – An Organization is Created

The workflow begins when a new organization is added to Pipedrive. This trigger captures the organization’s data, including a custom “website” field, essential for the subsequent data scraping step.

Node 2: ScrapingBee – Get Organization’s Website’s Homepage Content

Using the ScrapingBee API, this node extracts the homepage content from the organization’s website URL provided in the Pipedrive record. Alternatively, you can use another scraping API or the HTTP request node in n8n.

Node 3: OpenAI – Message GPT-4o with Scraped Data

The scraped HTML content is sent to OpenAI’s GPT-4o model. The system prompt instructs GPT-4o to extract relevant company information such as products, services, and competitors, formatting the output as HTML suitable for a Pipedrive note.

Node 4: Pipedrive – Create a Note with OpenAI Output

The extracted information from GPT-4o is added as a note to the newly created organization in Pipedrive. This note includes a company description, target market, products, and known competitors.

Node 5 & 6: HTML To Markdown & Code – Markdown to Slack Markdown

These nodes convert the HTML-formatted note into Markdown, then further adapt it to Slack’s Markdown format. This ensures the information is properly formatted for Slack notifications.

Node 7: Slack – Notify

Finally, the formatted note is sent as a message to a designated Slack channel, providing immediate visibility to your team about the new organization’s enriched data.
